Case Handler

Location: Manchester

We are looking to recruit a Small Claims Case Handler to join our new Claim Teams. The role is that of a case handler dealing with the processes set out within our Small Claims Platform. The role consists of using the Ministry of Justice Portal and internal case management system. You will be assisting a more senior fee earner within the Claim Teams. Your role will be to help to progress cases through to conclusion via our new platform within the case management system.

The role will comprise of the following duties

  • Accurate data entry with the ability to input the information whilst speaking on the telephone to clients
  • Process and analyse liability/accident circumstances where liability is in dispute to determine reasonable claims
  • Submitting Small Claims Notification Forms via the Portal to third party insurers
  • Dealing with client and other company’s telephone calls/communications
  • Consider special damage documentation
  • Instructing medical experts and advising clients accordingly
  • Making relevant legal expenses enquiries
  • Dealing with liability responses
  • Ensuring cases are progressed efficiently
  • Ability to keep on top of daily duties and self-manage any given tasks

Desirable

  • Basic knowledge of personal injury law

  • IT skills such as WORD / EXCEL / OUTLOOK
