About Chandani

Chandani is an Associate in the Major Trauma and Serious Injury team, dedicated exclusively to supporting individuals who have sustained catastrophic injuries.

She qualified as a solicitor in September 2023, and has focused her entire legal career on cases involving traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury, and other life‑changing injuries.

Before joining HCC, Chandani trained and worked at another well respected serious‑injury firm. She has extensive experience representing clients who lack capacity and are supported through the Court of Protection, providing reassurance, clarity, and continuous advocacy during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.

How Chandani Works

Chandani takes a warm, empathetic, and highly communicative approach to her work. She prides herself on being a friendly and compassionate lawyer who supports clients and their families from the earliest stages of recovery through to achieving the best possible outcomes.

Her focus is always on:

  • Building trust through clear, accessible communication
  • Ensuring clients understand their rights and the process ahead

  • Maximising compensation to protect long‑term wellbeing and independence

Chandani is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals who have experienced life-changing injuries, guiding them with dignity, care, and unwavering commitment.

Expertise

Chandani specialises exclusively in catastrophic injury litigation, with particular expertise in:

Some notable cases Chandani has worked on in her career include:

  • Securing lifelong 1:1 care through a lump‑sum settlement for a young woman with a TBI resulting from an RTA, where she retained some social function but experienced profound cognitive deficits impacting daily life.
  • Assisting in a complex case involving a young motorcyclist with both a TBI and spinal injuries, where liability was heavily contested due to high‑speed overtaking. The claim was resolved on a 47.5% basis in the client’s favour, resulting in a seven‑figure settlement.
  • Working extensively on high‑value catastrophic injury claims ranging from £1 million to over £10 million.
  • Running a specialised CICA caseload, including representing a 16‑year‑old who lost vision in one eye following an acid attack. Chandani challenged multiple provisional awards, ultimately securing the highest award available for his injury bracket.

Commitment Beyond The Case

Chandani’s dedication to supporting individuals with brain injuries extends beyond her legal role. She serves as a Trustee at Headway South Manchester and Stockport, where she contributes to the charity’s mission of improving life after brain injury.

Her work with Headway reflects her broader commitment: ensuring injured individuals and their families have access not only to legal support, but also to community, rehabilitation, and long‑term guidance.
