Patrick Maguire, a partner at HCC Solicitors has been shortlisted for The Access Legal Modern Law Awards 2022. It really is a fantastic achievement to be shortlisted, particularly this year as the awards has received unprecedented amounts of nominations due to its popularity and the reputation it has in the market. The Awards Ceremony takes place on Wednesday 7th April at The Brewery in London.

Patrick Maguire heads up our London office.

Patrick and his team in London only represent people that have suffered serious or catastrophic injury and families who have lost a loved one.

Often instructed on behalf of victims of spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputation, fractures to bones and psychiatric trauma. Patrick has strong links with various charities and organisations that help provide support to his clients beyond a compensation claim. He also has strong relationships with many of the leading insurance companies in the UK which means he can often access rehabilitation and financial support for his clients very quickly.

Patrick is often instructed on high profile cases. For example, being personally instructed by a number of those that were injured or killed in the Westminster attack, the London Bridge/Borough Market attack, the Novichok nerve agent attack in Salisbury and the Plymouth shootings. He represents bereaved families at Inquests at various levels from local Coroners Courts to the Old Bailey.   Patrick is well versed in dealing with the press in such cases and appears regularly in the media.

Patrick has been instructed by clients from all over the world but where the incident has taken place in the UK.  In the last 3 years he has received instructions from clients in the US, France, Canada, Germany, Hungary, India and New Zealand.

Recommendations

All of Patrick’s clients instruct him on the basis of recommendation.  He is often asked to take over cases from other firms who are not providing the appropriate level of service.
