Trio of fundraisers from HCC!

27th Apr 2023

We are passionate about helping people who have sustained serious injury get the support they need. Members of our team are taking part in a trio of fundraisers to raise money for various charities we are passionate about supporting.

Partnering with some of the UK’s leading charities and using a ‘family first’ philosophy allows us to give the help and support to the entire family and loved ones in the event of a life changing injury.

From running a 10k to jumping out a plane or cycling across Europe, we are truly doing it all to raise as much awareness and funds as possible for our selected charities.

Here’s an example of just three things we are doing next month:

Corey and Lisa’s 10k to help families in the West Midlands:

Corey Smith and Lisa Fisher are taking part in running the Great Birmingham 10k on the 7th of May 2023, along with thousands of Brummie runners! Corey and Lisa are enduring the 10k to raise money for charity, specifically the Edward’s Trust, a local charity that supports bereaved families in the West Midlands.

Edward’s Trust is a charity that offers a holistic approach to supporting those who are suffering loss in the West Midlands, by using 1 on 1 or couple support groups, therapy, and social events. They offer their support to parents, children, and carers, giving them the help, they deserve.

As the Edward’s trust is a local charity to Corey and Lisa, it has been described by them as close to their hearts, finding their work on bereaved families inspirational. The link to their official JustGiving fundraising page is here.

Jumping out of a plane for the Road Victims trust:

Cheryl Pinner is fundraising for the Road Victims Trust on the 14th of May 2023 by jumping out of a plane for her 60th birthday, making good use out of this once in a lifetime experience!

The Road Victims Trust is a charity that comes in to help at the most devastating time in people’s lives, after fatal collisions, RVT bring compassion, care and support at the time of people’s greatest need. RVT aims to give hope and rebuild lives by supporting those with serious grief and trauma.

Each year 1,750 people die because of road collisions on UK roads, showing the enormous amount of people that suffer loss. This just proves the amount of support required and how important the work of the charity is. You can donate here.

Cycling through Europe to support those with spinal injuries.

Amber Braybrooke is fundraising for Spinal Injuries Association by cycling through France, Germany, and Switzerland on the 17th through to the 21st of May. Being an enormous feat, the 3-day 200-mile bike ride will help Amber reach her goal of raising funds for the Spinal Injuries Association.

The SIA provides a range of invaluable services, supporting those who are in desperate need of access to expert information, advice and support through tough times. The SIA is a leading national charity. Throughout 2021-22, it delivered 1,400 support sessions, 2,000 calls on its support line, 400 training and education sessions and much more.

Amber’s fundraiser will help play a role in supporting the work of those who help people who have sustained a life changing spinal injury. With 50,000 people living with a spinal cord injury in the UK, people need help more than ever before. The link to donating to Amber’s fundraiser is here.

We believe that every family should understand that good lawyers will make a positive impact on their life at often the most traumatic and challenging times. As well as helping those through our services, these fundraisers really show how much we care about our partnerships with organisations who do so much good.
